From Loop
Announcing Loop: AIGA Journal of Interactive Design Education (Color)
The re-launch of Loop began last fall, with one writer and one studio contributing project-specific work in text and form. The topic was “Sound.”
It did not take long to realize that we needed to expand our pool of contributors and add to the content throughout the duration of each issue. Having the audience check-in over the course of the topic being covered is crucial.
It has taken a bit longer to get this version up since we were soliciting contributions from Asia, Europe and the United States. As a result, this second of four versions, dealing with “Color,” contains a number of projects. They range from animations, games, written word, static images, interviews and websites.
The artists and designers whose work we solicited used color to either facilitate content or they used color as content.
We want to stress the importance of contribution and collaboration from you, the reader. By submitting your own work, we can tap into work that we may not otherwise see. Ideally, we will be exposed to projects that deal with “color” in a number of ways including curricular development for students in art and design.
We look forward to your comments and your submissions.
